Realization: ‘haha’ doesn’t mean dick when typed out online. There is no way that they actually laughed. If you get ‘hahahha’ or multiple ‘lols, they probably actually laughed.
One ha is practically an insult. One ha is them scoffing at you.
Ancillary point: Even in person, people laughing doesn’t mean much. Pay attention, you laugh at things you don’t even think are funny. To pass the time? To pretend you’re having a better time than you are? Idk. It has to be explosive laughter to mean anything.
And it still means almost nothing. But it’s ok, and I want you to be happy, regardless. Pat pat.*
